Acceptance of contributions, gifts or donations is at the discretion of Pleistocene Park. Pleistocene Park will not accept gifts unless they can be used or spent in accordance with the purpose and mission of Pleistocene Park.
Irrevocable gifts, whether lifetime gifts or lifetime gifts, will not be accepted if the gift would, under reasonable circumstances, jeopardize the financial security of the donor.
Pleistocene Park does not provide advice on the tax or other treatment of gifts and encourages donors to consult their own professional advisors to assist them in making their gift.
Pleistocene Park accepts donations in the form of cash or exchange-traded securities. In-kind donations are accepted at the discretion of Pleistocene Park.
Certain other gifts, real estate, personal property, in-kind donations, non-liquid securities, and donations whose sources are not transparent or whose use is restricted in some way must be reviewed prior to acceptance because of the special obligations they may impose on Pleistocene Park.
Pleistocene Park will issue acknowledgements to donors who meet the tax requirements for accepting in-kind donations. However, with the exception of gifts of cash and marketable securities, no value is placed on a receipt or other form of acknowledgement of a gift received from Pleistocene Park.
Pleistocene Park respects the donor's intent with respect to earmarked gifts and with respect to requests to remain anonymous. In the case of anonymous gifts, Pleistocene Park will share information about the donor only with those employees who need to know.
Pleistocene Park will not compensate any third party for referring a donation or donor to Pleistocene Park, whether by commission, finder's fee or other means.
